《STATEMENT》
Nick Knight撮影のDevon Aokiのポートレートの雰囲気から発想を得て、枯れた花を同じようなトーンで撮影。
怖い中にも美しさが見え隠れするビジュアルが好きです。
I was inspired by the atmosphere of Devon Aoki's portraits taken by Nick Knight,
and photographed withered flowers in a similar tone.
I like the way the imagery has glimpses of beauty even amidst the horror.
水分が抜けて、少しずつ彩度が落ちていく。
瑞々しさは薄れていくけれど、その分、形が揺らぎ、思いがけないフォルムが現れる。
その偶発的な変化がとても魅力的に感じます。
若い頃の輝きとは違う、落ち着いた美しさ。
それはどこか、年齢を重ねた人の姿にも重なるように思う。
失うものがある一方で、にじみ出るものもある。
枯れていくことは、ただの終わりではなく、時間を重ねた証のように思えます。
この作品では、咲くことだけではない、「枯れゆく過程」の美しさを静かに見つめました。
As the moisture evaporates, the color saturation gradually fades.
The freshness fades, but in return, the shape shifts and unexpected forms appear.
I find these accidental changes very fascinating.
A calm beauty different to the radiance of youth.
In some ways, it overlaps with the appearance of people as they age.
While there is something to lose, there is also something to be gained.
The withering does not simply mark the end, but seems to be proof that time has passed.
In this work, I quietly contemplated the beauty not only of blooming, but also of the
withering process.
